Table size and shape decide how many guests you can seat. Here is how to think about it before you order.

Common square table sizes

Square tables are the workhorse of café and casual dining rooms. In our range you will see sizes such as 600 x 600 mm, 700 x 700 mm, 800 x 800 mm and 915 x 915 mm on some models. Smaller sizes suit two guests; larger squares comfortably seat four.

When to choose round, rectangular or bar-height tables

Round tables soften traffic paths in small rooms. Rectangular tables line up against walls and let you join tables for larger groups. Bar-height tables use less floor area per guest and suit standing and casual seating.

Leave room to move

Guests and staff need clear walkways. When you lay out tables, allow enough space to pull out a chair and to carry trays past seated guests. A designer or contractor can confirm the clearances that apply to your premises.

Choose sizes you can combine

If you often get groups of different sizes, choose table sizes that can be joined. A run of 700 or 800 mm squares can become a table for four or six when you push them together.
